The role
Simpled Services already works with housing associations in the UK, with a 12-month guarantee, £10M public liability, and a published Carbon Reduction Plan to the PPN 006 standard. What we need is someone who turns that into contracts.
This seat wins work from government bodies: councils, housing associations and the other public bodies that buy repairs, maintenance and damp and mould work, plus the frameworks that sit between them. You find the opportunities, you write the bids that win them, and you build the relationships so we're known before the tender drops.
It's a sales job in a suit. The tender is the last step. The relationship is what wins it.

What you'll do
- Watch the UK tender portals every day (Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, council and housing association portals) and pick the opportunities we can actually win.
- Write and submit the bids: the PSQ and conditions of participation, method statements, social value, pricing. On time, every time.
- Get Simpled onto frameworks and dynamic markets (and existing DPSs) for responsive repairs, voids, damp and mould, and planned maintenance.
- Build relationships with procurement and asset teams at councils and housing associations: supplier days, meet-the-buyer events, a proper follow-up after every bid.
- Keep the compliance pack current: insurances, accreditations, policies, the Carbon Reduction Plan, case studies.
- Run a bid pipeline everyone can see, and report what we won, what we lost, and why.
What we look for
- You've worked on UK public-sector tenders before, and you know what the Procurement Act 2023 changed.
- You know how councils and housing associations buy repairs and maintenance: frameworks, dynamic markets, call-offs, minor works.
- Excellent written English. A bid is judged on what's on the page.
- Comfortable picking up the phone to a head of procurement.
- CIPS or a bid-writing qualification is a plus, not a must.
- Based in Tangier, or ready to be, and working UK office hours from our office.
Don't send a Loom if
- You only want to write. Half this seat is relationships.
- Deadlines feel flexible to you. A bid submitted one minute late is a bid lost.
- You've never seen a UK tender. We train people on plenty, but not on this seat.
