Operations Assistant
Applications are one short Loom video - how to apply is at the bottom, after you've read the role.
First, what you're walking into
Plan@Job didn't start as a product. It started as our own tool. Almost two years ago, our operations team sat down with a team of web developers. One side ran the jobs. The other side turned how we run them into systems. Screen by screen, until the whole operation lived in one place. The operations side is led by Mohamed El Hadri - you might know him as mointhemarket. He's got his part in the platform, and his job in it is the growth.
Ten thousand plus real jobs sit behind it. Small repairs. Larger construction works. All of it run through our own companies. Every screen exists because a live job needed it. Nothing in there is theory. And it sits in the middle of everything built around one keyword: construction arbitrage.
For almost two years it was ours only. And honest truth, it wasn't finished. We still needed other tools around it. Not anymore. Everything is in now. A contractor opens it and builds a whole network from inside it. Subcontractors on one side. Clients on the other.
Now it opens to the public. And there's no checkout page. You don't buy your way in. Access is a referral, and a referral comes after training. Three sessions. One hour each. One per week. That's the product we sell: the training. No training, no referral.

The role
This is the seat that keeps live jobs moving. Several of them, all day.
A job is booked. An operative or a subcontractor has to be on it, on the right day, with the right materials, and the client has to know what is happening. When one of those slips, you are the one who catches it before the client does.
It all runs inside Plan@Job: the job, the dates, the photos, the reports, the messages. You will end up knowing the platform better than most of the people who built it.
What you'll do
- Schedule work: match the trade to the job, book the date, confirm it holds.
- Chase what is missing: photos, reports, sign offs, certificates, timesheets.
- Keep the client and the resident updated, before they ask.
- Keep the job record straight, so the invoice can go out without an argument.
What we look for
- You have coordinated people and dates before. Trades, field service, logistics, dispatch or care all count.
- Organised in a way other people can see. Nothing important sits only in your head.
- Comfortable telephoning somebody who is late without it turning into a row.
- Fluent English, available during UK working hours.
Don't send a Loom if
- You want one task at a time, finished before the next arrives. That is not this seat.
- Chasing people feels rude to you.
- You would rather email than phone. Phone is faster, and this job is about speed.
No hard feelings either way. The seats work because the right people sit in them.
See the platform before the interview
Whatever the seat, the work runs inside Plan@Job - the jobs, the quotes, the subcontractors, the documents and the invoices all sit in one place. Have a look at it before we speak, and come with questions.

No forms, no CV. One short Loom video, two or three minutes, covering three things:
A little introduction
Who you are, where you're based, what you're doing right now.
What you've done in this kind of work
The jobs you've held, how long you've been at it, and one thing you owned end to end. Honest beats impressive.
